These Terms apply to all services provided by GorkhaTravel to its customers, whether booked directly with our company or through any third-party partners.
Reservations: Bookings can be made via our website, email, or over the phone. A booking is considered confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received, and you will receive a confirmation email.
Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking cost is required to secure your reservation at the time of booking.
Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer, and other approved methods. Full payment is due 30 days before departure unless otherwise specified.
Pricing: All prices quoted are in GBP and include taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices may change due to currency fluctuations, increased fuel charges, or other factors. If this occurs, you will be informed promptly.
Customer Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing via email at info@gorkhatravel.co.uk. The following cancellation fees will apply:
More than 60 days before departure: Deposit only (20% of total booking cost).
31 to 60 days before departure: 50% of the total booking cost.
15 to 30 days before departure: 75% of the total booking cost.
Less than 14 days before departure: 100% of the total booking cost (no refund).
Please note: No refund will be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled departure.
Refund Process: Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation, minus any applicable fees. Please note that certain services (such as non-refundable flights, accommodation deposits, or special event tickets) may not be refundable under any circumstances.
GorkhaTravel Cancellations: In rare cases, we may have to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, etc.). If we need to cancel, we will provide you with a full refund or offer alternative dates or destinations. In this case, GorkhaTravel will not be liable for any additional costs or damages incurred by the customer.
Customer Changes: You may request changes to your booking (such as dates, destinations, or accommodations) up to 30 days before the departure date, subject to availability. Changes may incur a fee of £50 per change and any additional charges based on the altered itinerary.
Agency Changes: We reserve the right to modify or adjust itineraries, services, and schedules in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, transport strikes, or other factors outside our control. If significant changes are made, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide alternatives or a refund.
Customer Responsibility:
It is your responsibility to ensure that all travel documents (e.g., passport, visa, vaccinations) are valid and meet the entry requirements of the destination.
You must comply with all local laws, rules, and regulations while traveling.
You are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage for your trip, including travel, health, and cancellation insurance.
Agency Responsibility:
We will provide the services as described in the itinerary or booking confirmation, with the highest level of care and professionalism.
GorkhaTravel is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings, illness, accidents, or delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, transport strikes, or acts of God).
Liability: GorkhaTravel is responsible for the services we provide, but we are not liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury caused by third-party suppliers or factors outside our control.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, lost baggage, and other potential issues.
Data Collection: We collect personal information, such as names, contact details, and payment information, solely for the purpose of processing bookings and providing services.
Data Protection: GorkhaTravel is committed to protecting your privacy. We comply with the UK’s Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal data will never be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law or necessary to provide the services you have booked.
Cookies: Our website may use cookies to enhance the user experience. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with our privacy policy.
GorkhaTravel is not liable for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, war, terrorism, political instability, or pandemics. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to minimize the impact on your travel plans and offer alternative solutions where possible.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your trip, please inform your guide or local representative immediately so we can attempt to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved during your trip, you may submit a formal complaint in writing to info@gorkhatravel.co.uk within 14 days of your return. We will do our best to address and resolve any complaints in a timely manner.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
